Happy Record Store Day!

Today is April 17th better known to the world of vinyl lovers as Record Store Day, started in 2007 it is an international celebration of independent record stores. Limited releases such as Crystal Castles "Doe Deer" can be purchased today!

and other releases such as Devo, Of Montreal, Sonic Youth, Weezer, Bon Iver, Pavement, Charlotte Gainsbourg and many many more can be found at this event.

I have to say I found these guys a couple days ago, a Auckland based accessory label Deadly Ponies represents the united worlds of creators Liam Bowden and Katie Smith. Each unique piece is lovingly created entirely by hand, from the selection of the leather to the stitching and hand screening of the labels. Designed and made entirely in New Zealand, Deadly Ponies offers an eclectic collection of handbags, wallets, and jewellery all featuring top-quality materials and workmanship. Every piece is slightly different from the next, with it's own idiosyncrasies delightfully reminding us of the beauty of leather. The out come is always to be treasured, enticing even those anti-bagists to venture out and carry something.
and suddenly suddenly sparked an awesome band name for me and my friend...drum roll please...........dead ponies it amix between Mstrkrft and crystal castles...

by the way their purses are awesome and beautifully made.
